Zero Emissions 6-plexes in the walkable neighbourhood of Dentville.

Backing onto a creek and a large greenspace, and adjacent to the Discovery Trail paved bike and walking path, The Sitkas is a great place to call home. Built to high energy efficiency standards, the project will be certified BuiltGreen Platinum, ensuring the homes benefit both the occupants and the environment.

Zero-Emissions

The Sitkas will be Zero Emissions homes.

To do this, we build a highly energy efficient structure with extra insulation and high quality windows and doors. We then use all electric appliances and mechanical systems to avoid the use of gas. Through roof-top solar panels, the building will produce its own power, offsetting all non-renewable energy from the grid.

Environmental Restoration

As part of ReGen’s effort to build regenerative communities, our efforts spill over past our project sites to enhance the neighbourhood

At the rear of the site, there is a large area covered by invasive plants. We will remove these plants and the soil containing their roots, and then replant the area with native plants and trees, including Sitka Spruce. The intention with this space is to build a place that both benefits people by providing a trail connection and nature at their doorstep while also restoring the natural environment to improve the habitat for plants and animals that may live there.
